Paladins are Great (PaG) is a World of Warcraft guild on the Bonechewer server.

PaG is a small and casual guild made up of real life friends whose main goal is to have fun playing WoW. We doubt we'll be doing much more than small instance runs and general goofing around for the foreseeable future. If you're after screenshots of high-end kills in the latest and greatest zones and dungeons, you're not going to find it here. The best you can hope for is what you see below...

Update: February 16, 2008

This is PaG's first Gruul kill.  By "PaG's first Gruul kill," I mean it's the first time a large number of PaG members were at an honest-to-goodness Gruul kill.  In this case that amounted to 14 PaG members and 11 players that joined us.  Happily, several of those 11 have joined PaG in the past few days, and not because they're looking forward to farming content that was nerfed several months ago!  (Although that's pretty much what we'll be doing for the foreseeable future!)

Anyway, here are the kill shots.  Thanks to Shadyhugs and Valerie for taking these, and many thanks to everyone who joined us!

Update: November 17, 2007

Nalorakk, the first boss in Zul'Aman, is a pretty basic fight.  It's also a pretty easy boss to kill.  Proof?

I mean hey, if we can do it, how hard can it be?

Anyway, we have been to the zone two times now, both short trips, and we like what we've seen.  If the short trash clears are going to be a feature throughout this zone, we'll like it even more.  We'll update the page as we manage to kill any new bosses, but at our pace, who knows when that will be?

Update: October 7, 2007

Netherspite: Down

Terestian Illhoof: Down

These were the two remaining Karazhan bosses that we had not yet killed.  Having killed all of the other bosses (with the exception of the animal bosses), this marks our first full clear of Karazhan.  Congrats and thanks to all who have helped us clear all of this zone's bosses, it's been a lot of fun.  We look forward to continued good times in here, but will soon be focusing our efforts on Zul'Aman.

Update: September 9, 2007

"I'll get you, my Princey, and your little dragon too!"

Prince Malchezaar dead (after many attempts), Nightbane dead (after very few attempts).  Gratz to the loot winners, thanks to Stauf (Bloody Reavers), and Wowcow and Andraya (Popular Creeps) for joining us on the attempts and helping us get another guild first!

Update: August 19, 2007

We got an early start on Friday, spending an hour or two clearing the early Karazhan bosses so that we would have enough time to try to kill Prince Malchezaar on Saturday or Sunday.  We made a number of attempts on Saturday, learning the fight and working on it.  The practice paid off today, with a dead Prince:

Congratulations to Havocsgirl, Halje, and Amartruby on their loot drops, and congratz to everyone who was there for a guild first!

Update: July 21, 2007

This was the third time that we decided to take a shot at Shade of Aran.  The first two times we tried him we were unable to get him under 50%.  Today we dropped him on our first attempt of the day.  A fun fight and another guild first!  Thanks to Dagat of <Civilian> and Stauf of <Bloody Reavers> for joining us on this run.

Update: July 7, 2007

We had a short and successful run on Saturday, dropping Attumen, Moroes, the Maiden of Virtue and the Curator on single attempts.  We also got the Wizard of Oz event in the Opera House and defeated it on a single try.  For most of us, it was a first look at this event.  We also made a couple of attempts at Nightbane before calling it a day, but were unable to do much against him.

Update: June 30, 2007 and July 1, 2007

<PaG> went to Karazhan again, this time with a full ten PaG members in tow.  Some of us were leery of becoming overconfident after last week's success, but it seems our concerns were unfounded.  We cleared Attumen and Moroes without a wipe, downed Maiden of Virtue on our second attempt (with two people who had never done it before), and defeated the Big Bad Wolf on our fourth attempt.  The entire run took around two-and-a-half hours, about half as long as our effort last weekend.  Shorter raids with equivalent success are very thanks! ^_^

Update- Sunday's effort was not as sharp, but we downed the Curator on our second try and completed the chess event before wiping three times on Shade of Aran.  We're still learning that boss and figure we'll have him down in good time!  As for the second screenshot from Sunday's raid, it seems that Feklar forgot that druids can't fly indoors...

Update: June 23 and 24, 2007

<PaG> has undergone some changes.  Having determined that we weren't going to be running Karazhan regularly as a guild effort, we're taking it easy and running Karazhan with whoever we happen to find available amongst the many friends we've made in our time on this server.  We've lost some friends who seek a more structured raid guild, and wish them luck.  We added a few people who were tired of the more demanding schedules of regular raiding and wanted a more laid-back approach.  After a dreadful run last week, we went in determined to kill Attumen and Moroes and work better as a group with the people we had.  In the end, we managed to defeat three bosses and spent a short time butting our heads against the Big Bad Wolf event in the Opera House before calling it a day.  Congrats to all the winners, and as usual a fun time was had by all.  And thanks to Dagat of <Civilian> for providing his services as an off-tank!

The following afternoon we decided to try to pick up where we left off.  We managed to complete the Red Riding Hood event in the Opera, then we killed The Curator on our second attempt (the first attempt having begun unexpectedly when the boss was aggroed before we were ready) and completed the Chess Event on our first try (not an accomplishment of note, we knew what to expect and the event is extremely simple and easy to complete).  Thanks to Amess and Dagat of <Civilian> for lending an experienced hand, as this zone and these bosses are new to most of us.

Update: May 28, 2007

After banging our heads against Moroes for a couple of weeks, an impromptu run Monday night ended with his death.  Gratz to Werk on the dagger and Shadyhugs on the belt!  During the run, Grunthos leveled to 70, adding another max level character to the guild roster.  Many thanks to Andraya from <Popular Creeps>, as well as Telena and Skrotis from <Goaśld> for joining us and helping us down this boss for the first time.

Update: May 12, 2007

After some fits and starts, we managed to turn Attumen the Hunstman into...

Gratz to Grendahl on the crossbow and Jaylie on the gloves, which you can see linked if you click on the thumbnail below:

Update: April 2007

We now have fifteen level 70 members and eight members keyed for Karazhan.  We took our first tentative steps into the zone today, along with two members of Popular Creeps.  We worked on figuring out the sequence of pulls leading to the first boss and took a few shots at him before calling it a day.  I figure we'll spend many a weekend afternoon slowly working our way through the zone.  Should be fun!

Update: March 2007

We've been busy working our way through the new content from the Burning Crusade expansion, in our usual slow pace.  We've got a few level 70 members now and have been working on the quests to get the key to enter the Karazhan instance, currently the only 10-man zone in the expansion.  Most of us are only about halfway through the key quest:
